Scotchcast™ Resin Joints & Splices, 82-A3N, are black epoxy products used for sealing, electrical insulation, and mechanical protection of medium voltage cables. They are suitable for inline splicing applications with conductor sizes ranging from 3/0 AWG to 400 kcmil. With a maximum voltage of 5 kV, the splices can accommodate multiple or single conductors. The insulation outside diameter ranges from 25 – 40 mm (1.00 – 1.563 inch), while the maximum cable outside diameter is 39.7 mm (1.56 inch).
